Hello, and welcome to the Hellenistic Astrology Wiki. This is the area of www.HellenisticAstrology.com where we are in the process of organizing and carrying out our collaborative translation project.

Translation Project

At the moment our main priority is typing up all of the available Greek and Latin texts from the Hellenistic tradition and placing them on specific pages in the wiki so that they can be translated. Everyone who contributes to an article in some capacity, whether they are doing data entry, editing, or translations, will receive credit for their work on the relevant page. If you would like to help us in our efforts then please find a translation project that you would like to work on from the main page and either:

• Start typing the Greek or Latin text into the wiki page from the PDF of the original text provided on that page, or
• Start translating any text that is already available on the wiki if you have the language skills in order to do so.

Registering an Account and Editing Pages

In order to edit a page you will need to register an account with us. If you would like to register and account please email Chris Brennan via the address on our contact page.[1]

Other Projects

While the majority of our focus here is on our translation project, we are also interested in using the wiki to create a database of cross-referenced information pertaining to all areas of Hellenistic astrology. Part of this involves writing detailed biographical entries for each of the Hellenistic astrologers so that we can put their works in context once we translate them. There are also other areas of the site that need to be developed, as well as other things that we probably haven't even thought of yet. So, you can participate even if you don't know any other languages. Just contact us to in order to find out what other areas we need help on at the moment.
